System Update
Instructions for
Daylight Savings on
FACTOR Servers
For RISC systems:
-
Login as root
-
Type the following
command at the #
prompt and then
press Enter:
date mmddhhmmyy
For example, to
change the the date
to March 12 8:30
2007 type
"date 0312083007" at
the prompt and press
Enter.
- To verify the
date and time,
type "date" and
press enter and
the system
displays the
system date and
time.
Mon Mar 12
08:30:00 CST 2007
- All users must log
out and then back in
after the date
change.
For SCO systems:
-
Login as root
-
Type the following
command at the #
prompt and then
press Enter:
date mmddhhmm
For example, to
change the date to
March 12 8:30 2007
type "date 03120830"
and press Enter

To verify the date
and time, type
"date" at the #
prompt and press
enter. The system
displays the system
date and time:
Mon Mar 12 08:30:00
CST 2007
-
All users must log
out and then back in
after the date
change.
Microsoft Windows
Systems
For Microsoft
windows system,
Microsoft has issued
patches for its
various platforms.
If you have
automatic updates
turned on, then you
should have the
update. If you do
not have automatic
updates on, then
down and install
these patches:

XP versions
 Download
the Update for
Windows XP package
now.
This is for the
Server platforms, if
you are running the
Windows 2003 web
server for FACTOR
Storetrak.
Download
the Update for
Windows Server 2003
package now.
